82. Use School Glue to Remove Splinters

Got a splinter? Pour a small amount of white school glue on the area and then let it dry. When you peel it off the splinter should come right out. This is a great method to use on children.
83. Use a Tin Of Crisco Fat To Make A Candle That Burns For Hours In An Emergency

Candles are always good to have on hand in case the power goes out, but if you get caught without any in your house, you can make a dead simple candle with a tub of fat and a piece of string. Just put a piece of string in the middle, and light it up. Not only will it burn, it'll last for 45 days; enough to get you through a zombie apocalypse or two. Many tutorials recommend using a candle wick, but you should be able to use regular old string.
84. Use Toothpaste to Heal Zits

Did a zit rear its ugly head all of a sudden? Toothpaste does more than help you achieve a winning smile. When dabbed on a pimple, toothpaste can get rid of it by morning. It is drying and basically works like a clay mask, it dehydrates the pimple and absorbs the oil, be careful not to use whitening toothpaste however, as they often contain hydrogen peroxide which can irritate the skin.
85. Light Candles with Spaghetti

Most of us have burned our fingers a time or two trying to light candles in their various incarnations. However If you don't have extra-long matches, use an uncooked piece of spaghetti to light multiple or hard to reach candles. This is cheap, easy and very effective.

86. White Vinegar Helps Sunburn

Through these long cold winter months we all long for summer, however when summer does (eventually) arrive, a lot of us get overexcited, overexposed and end up with a nasty sunburn. Don't spend your time or money, aloe or vitamin E to take the burn away, just apply plain old white, distilled vinegar to your sunburn instead. You may smell...interesting, but the vinegar serves as a topical Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug (NSAID) which reduces the inflammation, pain, and redness of sunburn.
87. Use Alcohol to Make Flexible Ice Packs

Everyone should have flexible ice packs available for quick injury treatments but they can be expensive, making a homemade ice pack is a much better proposition. They are super simple to make, and cost very little in materials. Take the following: 2 cups of water 1/3 cup of vodka (80 proof) Food coloring (any color you like) Ziploc Freezer Bag (you can double bag to make it more durable) Then simply pour the liquids into Ziploc freezer bag, add food colouring (you'll know at a glance that it's your ice pack and not something to consume) then freeze. The alcohol will prevent it from freezing solid and will allow the pack to be flexible.

88. Put Smelly Shoes in The Freezer To Make Them Stink Less

Putting stinky shoes in the freezer overnight will kill the bacteria responsible for producing the odours and they will come out smelling much fresher. You may want to let them warm up a little before you put them on your feet though.

89. Cornflour Helps Untangle Knots

Cornflour (or Cornstarch as it is also known) has many interesting uses other than just an ingredient for thickening sauces or gravies. Knots in a string or shoelaces can be difficult to undo, but the solution is easy. Just sprinkle the knot with a little cornstarch and you'll be able to easily work the segments apart.
90. Make Cottage Cheese and Sour Cream Last Longer

Foods like cottage cheese and sour cream will last twice as long if you turn the container upside down when you store them in your fridge. Doing this forms a vacuum and prevents bacteria, which extends the shelf-life of these items.
91. Fix A Scratched CD/DVD With Brasso

We've all been there. You finally get around to watching Star Wars, and the DVD skips around like a failed time-travel experiment. Before you throw it out you might want to give this a try. Take some Brasso (or other metal polish) and apply a small amount to the CD/DVD with a soft clean cloth. Do NOT rub in a circular pattern, carefully work it in to the scratches and allow drying. Buff the disk lightly going from the center to the outer edge in a straight line. Again, do not rub in a circular pattern. Wipe off any excess. Hopefully the disc will be (almost) good as new.
92. Clear Nail Polish Helps Mosquito Bites

Mosquitoes can carry life-threatening diseases, but for many people, torturous itchiness feels like more of a threat. Putting a small dab of clear nail polish on a mosquito bite will immediately stop the itching and prevent further reaction.

 93. Use Baby Shampoo To Save A Shrunken Wooleen Jumper

We have all done it. Accidentally thrown a lovely wool jumper into the dryer only to have it come out looking like it belongs to a small infant. All hope is not lost though, and it may be possible to save the item. Fill a sink or large pan with tepid (cool) water and add two tablespoons of baby shampoo. This will often soften and relax the fibers enough to allow for reshaping. Soak for at least 30 minutes then remove the sweater from the water without rinsing. Allow to drain, and you can then gently pull to try to reshape the item.
94. Use Doritos as Fire Kindling

You can kindle a fire using just about anything, but when you're in the middle of nowhere and don't have a lot of fire-starting supplies, it has been noted that Doritos make an excellent material. Of course just about any crisp (chip) will do, but you will still need a match and something to spark the fire.

95. WD40 Removes Crayon from Many Surfaces

Normally you think of WD-40 as the substance you spray onto the door so it stops squeaking. However, WD-40 has many uses around the home. It helps remove crayon from all kinds of surfaces, including: clothing, walls, carpet and plastic. So if your little one has decided to go Picasso on their bedroom wall, simply spray a small amount on the area and then gently rub the stain away with a clean dry cloth.
