Choking Delhi NCR

Earlier our Delhi NCR was full of lush and greenery but now that time has came that we can only dream about that. All the credit goes to rapid industrialization and deforestation, almost all the cities of NCR are in the list of world’s most polluted cities and this is a major concern for all the citizens of Delhi NCR. Rise numbers of vehicles, increase in number of the industries, improper disposal of waste are some of the main reasons of pollution. Deforestation has lead to rise in the level of temperature and less rain, if the things go like this then the temperature will cross 50 degrees. In order to cope up with this situation we will have to take some certain measures:

Ø  People should replace all petrol and diesel engines with CNG engines. The government should encourage public to use CNG by lowering the price.

Ø  The government should make public transport convenient and safe so that people should prefer public transport more than cabs and personal transport.

Ø  The government should improve walkability and create more cycle paths.

Ø  Restraint the growth of private cars by reforming parking policies.

Ø  The government should not allow to run those vehicles which are polluting more than the safer limits and who’s running life is more than 10 years.

Ø  Government should implement a daily update on pollution level so that people must be aware of current scenario.

Ø  People should plant more and more trees in order to cope up with this situation.

Ø  People should not go outside without wearing the mask.

Ø  If possible people should keep air purifier at their home.

Ø  Old age people and small children should avoid going outside when the PMI level is above the permissible limit.
